I hope everyone is enjoying the snow. Our neighborhood is beautiful this time of year.

I wanted to send a reminder that fire season is coming, and our deadline for tree thinning is Earth Day, April 22, 2023. If you haven't already done so, please contact Colin Challifour of C's tree service to schedule your thinning. He can be reached at 928-606-3711 or colinchallifour@gmail.com. He is willing to work with you if you have the means and desire to remove some trees on your own.

Keep in mind, you will be reimbursed by the NRCS Grant $1400 per acre, or $2800 for most properties. Reimbursement will occur once everyone in your quadrant has completed thinning.

If cost is preventing you from proceeding with thinning the marked trees on your property, please reach out to me or one of the other Firewise board members and we will try to find a solution. Several of your neighbors have chainsaws and trailers for removing slash.

Below are the properties in each quadrant. Those highlighted in green are the properties that are complete. Email me, Nico Hawbaker nicolaus.hawbaker@gmail.com when your work is done. I would also appreciate an email letting me know where you are at in the process and when you intend on completing the work. The sooner everyone completed their property, the sooner we get reimbursed by the NRCS grant and the safer Mount Elden Estates is from the next fire.
